Last updated: August 21, 2026

Student Money Mentors (“Student Money Mentors,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an 18+ service designed for adults seeking financial education, financial guidance, mentoring, and related resources.

You must be at least 18 years old to create, access, or use Student Money Mentors.

This Age & Child Safety Policy explains Student Money Mentors’ age requirements, restrictions concerning minors, and procedures for handling accounts, content, or interactions involving individuals under 18.

This Policy supplements the Student Money Mentors Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Safety & Reporting Policy, AI Privacy Notice, Copyright / DMCA Policy, and other applicable policies.

1.Adults Only

Student Money Mentors is intended exclusively for adults.

You must be at least 18 years old to:

  • Create an account.
  • Maintain an account.
  • Access the platform.
  • Use financial education features.
  • Use mentoring features.
  • Submit financial questions.
  • Use AI-powered features.
  • Upload documents, screenshots, or other materials.
  • Participate in any community or communication features.
  • Receive or provide mentoring through the platform.
  • Use any other Student Money Mentors feature.

The 18+ requirement applies to the entire service.

A person under 18 may not use Student Money Mentors simply because they:

  • Only want educational information.
  • Do not intend to communicate with another user.
  • Only want to use an AI feature.
  • Only want to read publicly available information.
  • Have parental or guardian permission.
  • Are using another person’s device.
  • Are using another person’s account.

2.No Accounts for Individuals Under 18

Individuals under 18 are not permitted to create or maintain Student Money Mentors accounts.

If Student Money Mentors learns that an account belongs to someone under 18, we may:

  • Restrict the account.
  • Suspend the account.
  • Terminate the account.
  • Remove associated content where appropriate.
  • Delete associated personal information where required by applicable law.
  • Take additional measures reasonably necessary to protect the minor.

We may take these actions without prior notice when reasonably necessary for safety, privacy, security, or legal compliance.

3.Age Representation

When creating an account, users must accurately represent that they are at least 18 years old.

Users must not:

  • Misrepresent their age.
  • Create an account for a minor.
  • Allow a minor to use their account.
  • Use another person’s account to bypass the age requirement.
  • Circumvent an age restriction.
  • Assist a minor in accessing Student Money Mentors.

If we have reason to believe an account does not satisfy the minimum-age requirement, we may take appropriate action.

4.Age Verification

Student Money Mentors may use reasonable age-assurance or account-safety measures to enforce its 18+ requirement.

The specific methods used may change as the platform develops.

Student Money Mentors does not guarantee that every user’s age can be independently verified.

If age-verification information is collected, it will be handled according to applicable law and the Student Money Mentors Privacy Policy and applicable retention practices.

5.Reporting an Underage User

If you believe someone using Student Money Mentors is under 18, report the account through the available reporting mechanism.

Useful information may include:

A good-faith report is appropriate even if Student Money Mentors ultimately determines that the user is 18 or older.
