What users are purchasing, how subscriptions work, how to cancel them, and when refunds may be available.
Last updated: August 21, 2026
Student Money Mentors (“Student Money Mentors,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) wants users to understand what they are purchasing, how subscriptions work, how to cancel them, and when refunds may be available.
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains cancellation of paid Student Money Mentors services, recurring subscriptions, educational products, features, and other purchases.
This Policy supplements the Student Money Mentors Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Safety & Reporting Policy, and other applicable policies.
Student Money Mentors may offer paid educational services, subscriptions, premium features, courses, tools, or other products.
The price, billing frequency, trial period, renewal terms, and other material purchase terms will be presented before the user completes the applicable purchase.
Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, a recurring subscription may automatically renew for the same billing period until canceled.
Users are responsible for reviewing the purchase terms before completing a transaction.
Users may cancel a recurring Student Money Mentors subscription through the cancellation method provided by Student Money Mentors or, where applicable, through the app store or payment provider used to purchase the subscription.
Cancellation stops future renewal charges but generally does not automatically create a refund for a payment that has already been processed.
Student Money Mentors intends its cancellation process to be reasonably straightforward and accessible.
Recurring-payment terms, including price, frequency, renewal conditions, and cancellation method, should be disclosed before enrollment. Federal consumer-protection guidance emphasizes clear disclosure of recurring-payment terms and a simple cancellation mechanism.
If you cancel before the next scheduled renewal, the cancellation will generally prevent the next recurring charge.
Your access to paid educational features may continue through the remainder of the already-paid billing period, unless the applicable purchase terms state otherwise.
Canceling after a renewal has already been processed does not automatically entitle you to a refund.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly stated at the time of purchase, Student Money Mentors generally does not provide automatic refunds for unused portions of a billing period.
However, Student Money Mentors may provide a refund, credit, or other adjustment when appropriate.
Examples may include:
Certain Student Money Mentors purchases may provide immediate access to digital educational materials, tools, or services.
Because digital content or services may be accessed immediately after purchase, refund eligibility may depend on:
Where a particular product has its own refund terms, those terms will control to the extent permitted by law.
If you believe you accidentally purchased a Student Money Mentors product or subscription, contact Student Money Mentors as soon as reasonably possible.
Student Money Mentors may consider:
An accidental purchase is not automatically guaranteed to receive a refund.
If you believe a Student Money Mentors charge was made without your authorization, contact Student Money Mentors promptly.
You should also secure your account and payment method where appropriate.
Student Money Mentors may investigate potentially unauthorized transactions and may request information reasonably necessary to determine what occurred.
Do not provide passwords, authentication codes, full payment-card numbers, or other unnecessary credentials.
If you purchased Student Money Mentors through an app store or another third-party payment platform, that provider may control the transaction, billing relationship, cancellation mechanism, or refund process.
You may need to request cancellation or a refund directly through the provider that processed the purchase.
Student Money Mentors cannot guarantee that a third-party provider will approve a refund.
If Student Money Mentors offers a free or discounted trial, the applicable offer will identify material terms such as:
Users should cancel before the applicable trial ends if they do not wish to continue.
Automatic conversion from a free or discounted trial to a paid subscription should be clearly disclosed before enrollment.
Student Money Mentors may offer:
Unless otherwise stated, a promotional price may apply only for the period specified in the offer.
After the promotional period ends, the subscription may renew at the then-applicable regular price if the user does not cancel.
The applicable renewal terms should be disclosed before purchase.
Student Money Mentors provides educational information and tools relating to money and personal finance.
Refund eligibility does not depend on whether a user agrees with a particular educational recommendation, calculation, projection, or financial explanation.
Student Money Mentors does not guarantee:
Users should independently verify important financial information and consult a qualified professional when appropriate.
Student Money Mentors may change, discontinue, or modify paid products and features.
Where appropriate, Student Money Mentors may provide notice of material changes.
If Student Money Mentors permanently discontinues a paid service before the end of a period for which a user has already paid, it may provide an appropriate refund, credit, replacement service, or other remedy depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
If Student Money Mentors suspends or terminates an account because the user violated its Terms of Service, Safety & Reporting Policy, or applicable law, the user is not automatically entitled to a refund.
Student Money Mentors may consider refunds or credits separately when appropriate.
